WHY BOTHER?
Our aim is to move this ‘waste’ up the hierarchy into the ‘reused’ category. We ensure that as much as possible of what we collect is reused, not just chipped (the fate of most skipped wood), saving this valuable resource.
Devoted to reusing and recycling, we grade and clean up the wood and offer it for sale or turn it into something interesting - all at our yard in Kendal, Cumbria.

According to WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme), around 4.5 million tonnes of waste wood arises in the UK each year but only half of this is currently recycled, with the remainder sent to landfill. Government estimates show that less than 50% of construction wood waste is being recycled.

We aim to reduce Cumbria’s wood miles and to tighten up the wood chain by encouraging businesses to separate their wood ‘waste’ for our dedicated collection service.
